CrikStars ("CrikStars", "the app", "we", "us", "our") is operated by CricketStar Global Private Limited (CIN U93110DL2025PTC449814), Plot No 15, Office No 101, Nipun Tower, Karkardooma Community Centre, New Delhi – 110092, India. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the CrikStars mobile and web applications, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using CrikStars, you agree to this Policy.
We use your information to: sign you in (OTP) and secure your account; build and display your Career profile, scorecards, leaderboards and statistics; run live scoring (including offline scoring that syncs when you reconnect); operate teams, tournaments, Community and Looking For; enable live streaming; import stats from screenshots you upload; send match, request and activity notifications; provide support; and keep the service safe and working. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Our application requests access to Google user information (profile details, email address, and YouTube account permissions) solely to enable live-streaming functionality. Google user data is used only to provide live-streaming services to your YouTube channel and not for advertising or marketing. We retain Google user data only as long as necessary to provide streaming; access tokens and account information are deleted when you disconnect your Google account, delete your account, or request deletion. You can revoke access at any time through your Google Account security settings. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
When you delete your CrikStars account, your personal profile information — name, phone number, email address, date of birth, profile photo, and other identifying details — is permanently deleted or anonymized; your login is disabled and your account cannot be restored; and you are removed from all team rosters, tournament line-ups, player search, and future selections. Your public player profile will display only as "Deleted User."
Because CrikStars is a multi-player scoring app, the matches you have played in are shared records that also belong to the other players, teams and organizers who took part. To preserve the accuracy and integrity of those shared records — past scorecards, ball-by-ball data, and the career statistics of every other player in those matches — the name you were recorded under in a completed past match is kept as part of that historical match record. This retained match data is not linked to any active account, is not used to identify or contact you, and does not appear in search or in any current team, tournament or line-up. We retain it on the basis of our legitimate interest in maintaining accurate, tamper-proof shared sporting records; where required by law, we will honour requests to further restrict or delete it.
You can delete your account in the app via More → Delete Account, or from our web page at https://api.crikstars.in/delete-account.
We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS), secure storage of authentication tokens, and restricted internal access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
You can review and update your profile at any time, manage notifications, revoke Google/YouTube access from your Google Account settings, and delete your account (which removes your personal data as described above). Subject to applicable law, you may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us.
CrikStars is used by cricketers of all ages, including young players, and we do not impose a minimum age. If a user is a minor (under the age of majority in their country — 18 in India), they should use CrikStars with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for supervising that use. A parent or guardian may contact us to review or request deletion of a minor's information.
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, in-app). Your continued use of CrikStars after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
