CrikStars — Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CrikStars mobile application and related services ("CrikStars", "the app", "we", "us", "our"), operated by CricketStar Global Private Limited (CIN U93110DL2025PTC449814), Plot No 15, Office No 101, Nipun Tower, Karkardooma Community Centre, New Delhi – 110092, India. By creating an account or using CrikStars, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Eligibility

CrikStars is for cricket players, officials and fans, and there is no minimum age to use the app. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you may use the app only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf. You confirm that the information you provide at registration is accurate and that you are legally permitted to use the app.

2. Your account

• You register and sign in using your mobile number and a one-time password (OTP). You are responsible for keeping access to your number and device secure.
• You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account.
• Provide accurate, current information and keep it up to date.
• Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
• One person, one account. Do not impersonate others or misrepresent your identity, team, or affiliations.

3. Your content

"Your content" means anything you add to CrikStars — including your profile and photos, team and tournament details, match and scoring data, statistics, commentary, posts in Looking For, Community listings, chat messages, and live streams. - You keep ownership of your content. - You grant CrikStars a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display and distribute your content within the app and its features for the purpose of operating and promoting the service (for example, showing a scorecard to viewers, listing you in a Community directory, or displaying your Career profile and photos to other users). - You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the rights to share it. Do not upload content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, obscene, hateful, harassing, or that violates anyone's privacy or intellectual-property rights. - We may remove content that breaches these Terms, but we are not obligated to monitor content.

4. Match data, statistics & awards

• Matches, scores, statistics and awards (such as Man of the Match, Fighter of the Match, Best Batter and Best Bowler) are generated from data entered by users (scorers, organisers and participants) and from the app's automated calculations.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or reliability of user-entered or community-generated data. Disputes over scores, line-ups, eligibility or results are the responsibility of the organisers and participants involved.
• Roles such as scorer, umpire, organiser, commentator and streamer may be transferred or reassigned within a match; you are responsible for actions taken while you hold a role.

5. Importing third-party stats (e.g. CricHeroes)

• CrikStars lets you import statistics by uploading screenshots (for example, from CricHeroes). You confirm that you have the right to use and upload those images and the data they contain, and that doing so does not breach any third party's terms or rights.
• Imported data is processed to read figures from your images and add them to your record; we do not guarantee perfect extraction and you are responsible for reviewing the result.

6. Live streaming

• If you stream a match, you are solely responsible for the stream's content and for having all necessary rights, permissions and consents (including from people who appear, and from any venue).
• Do not stream content that is illegal, infringing, or that you are not authorised to broadcast.

7. Community listings & "Looking For"

• Listings (grounds, academies, box-cricket venues, organisers, scorers, umpires, commentators, streamers) and posts you create are your responsibility. Keep them accurate and lawful.
• CrikStars does not endorse, verify, or guarantee any provider, post, team or user. Any arrangement, booking, payment or engagement you make with another user is strictly between you and them; CrikStars is not a party to it and is not responsible for it.

8. Professional & international scores (World Cricket / Crex)

• Live scores and information about professional and international matches are provided for general information and are sourced from third-party data providers. They are provided "as is", may be delayed or inaccurate, and are not for betting or commercial reliance.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to: - break any law, or infringe anyone's rights; - harass, abuse, threaten or harm other users; - post false, misleading, or fraudulent information; - attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours, or disrupt or reverse-engineer the app; - scrape, copy or harvest data from the app except as expressly allowed; - use the app for unauthorised commercial purposes, spam, or to promote gambling/betting.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

10. Intellectual property

The CrikStars app, its name, logo, design, and software are owned by CricketStar Global Private Limited and protected by law. Except for your own content, nothing in these Terms gives you any right to our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from the app without our written permission.

11. Privacy

Your use of CrikStars is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect (including your mobile number, profile, photos, and match activity) and how we use it. Please read it.

12. Disclaimers

CrikStars is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that data will always sync or be preserved. You use the app at your own risk.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CricketStar Global Private Limited and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunity, arising from your use of (or inability to use) CrikStars. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CrikStars and its team from any claims, damages, losses or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the app, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

15. Account deletion, data retention & termination 🆕 (expanded — the "deleted" addition)

You may delete your account at any time via More → Delete Account. When you delete your CrikStars account:

• What we permanently remove. Your personal profile information — your name, phone number, email address, date of birth, profile photo, and other identifying details — is permanently deleted or anonymized. Your login is disabled and your account cannot be restored. You are removed from all team rosters, tournament line-ups, player search, and future team/match selections. Your public player profile will display only as "Deleted User."
• What is retained, and why. CrikStars is a multi-player scoring app. The matches you have played in are shared records that also belong to the other players, teams, and organizers who took part. To preserve the accuracy and integrity of these shared records — including past scorecards, ball-by-ball data, and the career statistics of every other player in those matches — the name you were recorded under in a completed past match is kept as part of that historical match record. This retained match data is not linked to any active account, is not used to identify or contact you, and does not appear in search or in any current team, tournament, or line-up.
• Legal basis. We retain this limited historical match data on the basis of our legitimate interest in maintaining accurate, tamper-proof shared sporting records for all participants. Where required by applicable law, we will honor requests to further restrict or delete this data.
• Termination by us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the app in a way that harms other users or the service.

By deleting your account, you acknowledge that your past match records (including the name you were recorded under in those matches) remain part of other participants' shared match history, while your profile itself is anonymized to "Deleted User."

16. Changes to the app and these Terms

We may update, add, or remove features, and we may revise these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, in-app). Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at New Delhi for any dispute, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
